This week's esteemed P.I.S.H ( Prioritisation is Shocking Here ), award goes to Holyrood. ( The Scottish Government ).

Some bright spark there though it would be a good idea to set aside £30 million to pay for bonuses to NHS chiefs in the form of "Distinction Awards".

How obscene is that when hospital administration is costing more than ever.

Some patients are unable to get the drugs that will prolong their lives because they are "too expensive".

Doctors, nurses and hospital workers are battling budget cuts, waiting lists and superbugs that are claiming more lives every day, yet the few at the very top of the salary scale are the ones in line for wads of dosh.

It might be worth looking out for this one in your own neck of the woods as it seems that the feeding of the fat-cats bears no bounds of propriety anywhere.

It certainly is Smasher....and here is ANOTHER twist to the story:

It was reported today that 2000 of the NHS staff in Scotland alone are being paid over £100,000 each per annum and this bill comes to £230 million a year without payments for overtime, bonuses and moonlighting to the private sector while contracted to the NHS.

I don't know why such bottomless pits of cost are not filled in with the bodies of the wasteful managers and bean-counters that Thatcher and her cronies foisted on us when she tried to make the NHS live under the so-called "free-market-economy".

We - and the NHS - are STILL suffering from those moves today !
